Hydraulic starters offer an explosion-proof means of engine starting. Kocsis’ hydraulic starters produce higher torque than other starters resulting in faster and more reliable engine starting.

Piston Accumulators

Piston accumulators store hydraulic energy to maintain pressure, absorb shock, and support peak hydraulic system demand. Kocsis designs and manufactures standard and custom accumulators ranging in pressures from 3 KSI to 30 KSI and capacities from 1 pint to 160 gallons.

Accumulator Operating Instructions

Soft Engage Valves

Kocsis’ soft engage valve is a pilot operated valve mounted between the control valve and hydraulic starter within a hydraulic starting system. As system fluid passes through the soft engage valve, a small amount of oil is delivered to the starter allowing for smooth engagement of the pinion gear and flywheel.

Hand Pumps

Kocsis’ hand pump is a manual pump for regenerating system pressure for a hydraulic starting attempt. The hand pump is often used to recharge a hydraulic system in a black start condition.

Recharging Pumps

Kocsis’ recharging pump is driven by a prime mover to recharge a hydraulic starting system. Our recharge pump features an unloading valve which unloads when system pressure has been reached.

Tanks and Reservoirs

Kocsis offers a line of reservoirs in capacities of 4, 7.5, 12.5, and 15 gallons. Our tanks feature painted heavy gauge steel with a fully removable lid for easy maintenance. Each tank includes an easily readable sight level gauge allowing for convenient oil-level monitoring.
